Migration Guide 2024

ExFlowWeb (EFW) 2024 major release is now available. Here is a simple guide to help you through the migration process:

  1. Migration Overview: The migration process is straightforward and has been designed to be as seamless as possible.

  2. Test Environment First: We recommend starting the migration with your test environment.

  3. Production Environment: After evaluating the system in your test environment and ensuring it meets your needs, you can proceed to migrate your production environment.

  4. Partner Migration: Dynamics BC partners connected to onboard.exflow.cloud1 can manage the migration process directly in the portal.

  5. Support: If you're not connected to onboard.exflow.cloud1 or need assistance during the migration process, please reach out to us using your normal channels. We're here to help!

Dynamics FO (DFO)​

For DFO, please note the following changes and requirements:

  • Application Registration: Your application must now be registered as an Entra ID application in DFO.
  • Service User: We recommend using a service user with minimal permissions for increased security.
  • Admin Consent: Please note that the registration process requires admin consent for the app.
  • /OnboardAssist: To further assist you, our application now includes a feature to detect potential onboarding and migration-related issues.

These changes are crucial for maintaining security and functionality. Please ensure you comply with these requirements.

Dynamics BC (DBC)​

For DBC customers, if user profile pictures are not displaying correctly, an IT admin may need to re-consent the app. To do this, the admin should sign in to the app and navigate to the /OnboardAssist page and follow the instructions.

  • Pre-GA Availability: Available now.
  • GA: End of April 2024.

Limitations​

Please note that the following limitations apply to the migration to the 2024 major version of EFW: On-Prem: The migration process for on-prem hosted DBC is currently not supported. Self-hosted: The migration process for self-hosted DFO is currently not supported. Also, note that self-hosted is subject to move to Azure Marketplace in the future.

Additional Information​

Versions of the ExFlowWeb application preceding the 2024 release will be labeled as 2023.XX. This means the year component of the version will remain at 2023. These versions will continue to receive support for older legacy systems such as NAV, AX, etc.

Update for Scheduled Go-Live Customers​

If you have planned your go-live on our old website (version 2023), please submit a ticket as soon as possible. We will handle your request manually to ensure a smooth process.
